ABOUT

The Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), was founded in 1425 and is one of the oldest universities in Europe and the largest in Belgium.

It is a research university offering BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in all areas of arts, sciences and engineering. Currently, more than 27000 students are enrolled in its programs.

The Institute of Mechanics, Materials, and Civil Engineering  of UCL,  www.uclouvain.be/en-immc.html, is an international center for research in engineering. Its core strengths span several major engineering disciplines, including theoretical and applied mechanics, material science, and civil engineering. The Institute participates in SEDITRANS with the group of hydraulic engineering of Prof. Soares-Frazao and with the group of multi-phase and reacting flows of Prof. Papalexandris.
