ABOUT

The University of Patras (www.upatras.gr) is the third largest public university of Greece. The University was founded in 1964 celebrating in 2014 its 50 years of existence. It includes 24 Departments, and enumerates 28,727 undergraduate students, 3,959 postgraduate students, 727 faculty members, 146 teaching and technical staff, and 457 administrative personnel (data of September 2013).

The Department of Civil Engineering (www.civil.upatras.gr) was founded in 1972. The Department awards a 5-year Diploma (1400 undergraduate srudents), a 2-year Master (70 postgraduate students) and a PhD (30 candidates) and enumerates 33 faculty members.

The Laboratory of Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory participates in SEDITRANS with its Coastal Group under Prof. A.A. Dimas. An ESR and an ER will be trained in the Laboratory facilities.
